Well, I actually have so much to tell. Yet I am lazy to type it here. Despite my laziness I will tell ya my experience of getting stung by an unknown flying insect.
So, It was Saturday(Dec 5), the plan was to attend Statistical Computing Lab and participate in seminar. I put on my Himstat jacket because I am the committee of the seminar . I had had an argument with my boyfriend in the morning then around 8.45 I went to binus all by myself. It was all well until I reached near Spy Club (restaurant), there was an unknown flying insect bursting inside my right arm. I thought it was only a flea but then it stung and it hurt A LOT. I shook my right hand trying to get it out of my jacket, and I rolled up my sleeve and shook my hand again, it was gone, I didn't even get a chance to see that creature. I continued riding my bike. It was reallly painful like you just get another sting in the same area. I decided to stop a minute and take a look. It was red, o-size-Bright red spot. I was thinking that it was just going to be like mosquito's bite. But the pain didn't stop, I checked it for the second time near Unite(english course by Rob) and it looked swollen on the outter of the red spot. I was shaking til I almost hit a pedestrian. Luckily I still could handle it!
With the pain stayed still, I successfully arrived at binus and I rushed to the infirmary to ask any medicine to make me feeling better. Well, unfortunately it was closed(what da hell!!). So I went to my class and told my friends my story. It was swollen even more and warm and looked redness. I asked Musa whether or not he has been stung by bee/wasp. He said no, but he told me if I feel numb, then there will be a venom. I ain't got one. So I felt relieved at the moment. As the class goes, I was still feeling like I got stung again and again. I asked vanissa to accompany me to the infirmary after the class ended. All the studs accompanied me haha. Well, how wonderful it was, when I tried to push the door, it ain't moved, just like the first time I came. Then, we decided to rush to Syahdan for the seminar.
On the way to Syahdan, it was raining a bit. I saw Rp. 100.000 on the ground. In front of me, there were Musa and Henry, but none of them saw it. I told them, and they looked back, so did I, and I saw Pak Anom(our lecturer). I thought they would see him too! And when I said,"wow cepat juga pak anom uda dibelakang kita." They replied,"mana". And I looked back and he was gone. And they started telling that I was hallucinating.
Arrived at Syahdan, to make long story short, I particularly didn't do anything important. I had a snack and told my mom that I was stung by a bee/wasp. It was swollen and it hurt if I bend my wrist. My mom told me to meet at Royal Taruma. So, I asked ci Olin(as the head of the seminar) permission. She slowly nodded and said oh okay sure and I replied Ok sorry, and she asked, what is the reason? And I immediately replied that I got stung by a wasp. Then I went to Royal. I agreed with my mom to meet at 3. I arrived before 3. So I needed to wait and bear the pain. You can't never imagine how hard it is to ride a motorcycle with your right wrist swollen! I think it got worse after I rode to Royal.
After a few minutes, my mom showed up, I just can't believe that she brought Nicho with her. Omg. "What on earth is he doing here?", Screaming in my mind. We rushed to the emergency room. Register first then weight scaling(inside). The nurse said that there is an emergency so we need to wait a moment. All we could hear was a scream. I knew it was a kind of construction accident bcs there were some helmet men walking out the ER. I was in pain and afraid, too. Bcs I don't like seeing dead man. I just don't. The nurse checked my arm and my body temperature. She firstly asked wheter or not I had fever. I said no, i don't think so. But when she took the thermometer, she said you get fever. 38 degrees Celcius. Then she left. My mom wanted to go to the eye specialist so she left me alone a moment. I was first laying on the bed but I just don't like it so I sat up. Then the doctor came. She looked like a very young doc and presumably new. She asked what is the problem and I said I got sting by an insect, and it was flying. Now it is swollen. And she asked, did you see the insect? And of course I said no. And she said she will only give medicine. I just like 'ooh ohh' hahah. And I asked whether injection is necessary or not. She said it is up to you. And I said well, I'll ask my mom first. Then my mom came. She of course wanted me to get injection. So I did get an injection. It didn't hurt. I'm not afraid of injection and visiting hospital is just like a habit this year. The nurse gave me sanmol (paracetamol) after the injection. Then, it was done. Just needed to wait for the administration and medicines. Long story short, I went home and my mom and bro went to Citraland.
Arrived at home, my mom asked me to take a bath, eat and take the medicine. So I did. The swell reduced along the night. It felt better but still a bit swollen. A week after the sting, swell got better but it was sooooooo itchy. I couldn't resist to scratch my arm. Spots with redness appeared. 3 or 4 days past, itching is gone. Redness is gone. I hope there is nothing serious about this sting. (Dec 20)
This is how it looks like (Dec 24)
