And I wish I could win the student of the year at Wall Street. I'm working on that with some help from Chris 😄
I will be so proud if I win.
Here is the essay:
Hi! My name is Ardel. I am a student at Wall Street English Central Park. I love Wall Street English because it is a great place to learn English. The staff here is really kind. They have always been ready to help me whenever I needed help.
I also love Wall Street because Wall Street has changed my life. I used to be shy and introverted until one of the Personal Tutors told me to join more social clubs. At first I felt like a stranger in the social clubs. I was scared to start conversations and was always waiting for somebody to talk to me first. However, the social club topics always seemed interesting so I tried to join everything that I could. I met many friends and some of them are now my closest friends.
Wall Street has helped me become more brave to open doors and seek out opportunities. Wall Street has not only improved my English skills, but it has improved my social life as well. Now I am the one who usually starts the conversation whenever I meet someone new. I do it because I know how it feels to be a stranger, and I do it because Wall Street has taught me how much of a difference a little bit of help can do for someone shy.
Wall Street has changed my life for the better and I am very thankful for that. Now I want to not just tell people how great Wall Street has been to me, but show them what being committed to the Wall Street method can do for them. I work hard to make sure that what my fellow students see when they look at me is not a girl who is “gifted” in English, but a girl who works very hard. A girl who has never missed an encounter. A girl who has been in hundreds of Social Clubs. A girl who has always been eager to help out a new student, and if I win Student of the Year, I believe that I can be an even better example to everyone around me.
